Designer Sue Wong unveils The Great Gatsby inspired line

In attendance were: famed enlightenment artist Master Romio Shrestha, Kelsey Grammer and Kayte Walsh Grammer (Frazier, Cheers), Erin Cahill (ABC’s “Red Widow”), actress Alex Lombard (Inception), casts from Bravo’s various “Real Housewives” reality shows and “Shahs of Sunset”, among many other actresses, models and socialites. Renowned Israeli opera singer Michael Peer serenaded Sue and her guests.

Amidst the festivities, everyone raved over the showing of the fall 2013 Collection, resplendent against the backdrop of the majestic Old Hollywood interiors of The Cedars. Sue’s latest designs brought to life the flirtatious Flapper in dresses with fringed skirts, while Art Deco motifs sparkled in dramatic column gowns with richly beaded metallic details. Classic silhouettes were accented by playful and elegant embroidery, appliqué, animal prints and shimmering hand beading. The ravishing pieces were awash in gemstone hues of sapphire, jade, citrine and carnelian. The evening’s sponsors included Hint Water, Hula Girl beverages, Mud Make-up Designory and Trust Salon. In keeping with the evening’s theme, the guests were also dressed in their best 1920’s finery to commemorate the new collection and bring to life the iconic styles of the gilded age.
