Dubai-based designer to open Philippine Fashion Week

Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco is going to open the 22nd edition of Filipino fashion fest Philippines Fashion Week Holiday 2013, scheduled to take place from May 22 to 26, 2013.
Other than the WGSN Global Fashion Award winner’s opening show, the soiree will also feature collections from designers like Lizanne Cua, Ronaldo Arnaldo and Albert Andrada.
Makati City native Eric Delos Santos will feature a holiday line, infused with luxurious lace, innovative prints and graphics, at the five-day-long event.
Manila-based Roel Rosal has drawn inspiration from a 1924 photograph, shot by the famous Vogue and Vanity Fair lens man Edward Steichen, of American silver screen goddess Gloria Swanson, for his latest range.
Rosal’s to-be-showcased shimmery womenswear line would feature sequins and lace made ensembles in a soothing palette of yellow, pink and green with metallic specks.
