Country musicians don designer outfits at CMT Music Awards

Famous country musicians and A-list celebs, clad in their bespoke bejewelled outfits, gathered at the glitzy fan-voted awards show CMT Music Awards, held recently at the Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, Tennessee.
Oklahoma-born country music singer Carrie Underwood, who won the top honour video of the year for her song ‘Blown Away’, turned up at the event in a turquoise short suit, designed by the Beirut-based Lebanese haute couturier Georges Chakra.
Fashion lover’s favourite perky American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift once again made heads turn, with her beaded, asymmetrical cream coloured Elie Saab creation, at the red carpet event.
Musical artist Kellie Pickler, from North Carolina, made a glittery style statement in a floor-length pink halter-neck sequined gown with a plunging neckline.
Kimberly Perry, the lead vocalist from the country music group The Band Perry, made a colourful appearance in her sleeveless frothy floor sweeping tangerine gown.
Held annually, CMT Music Awards honours the very best of country music videos and television performances.
