A ceremony of cooperation on the Advanced Management Program in Fashion and Luxury (AMP) amongst Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM), Institut Francais de la Mode (IFM), Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris (HEC Paris), and Trends Media Group (Trends) was held at Tsinghua SEM.

Professor Qian Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM, Mr. Liu Jiang, President of Trends, and representatives of IFM and HEC Paris jointly announced their collaboration in combining their best resources to create China's most prestigious course in Fashion and Luxury.

The press conference also announced the appointment of several industry luminaries as honorary advisors for the AMP. Honored attendees included Sergio Bertasi, Chief Representative of Intesa SanPaolo Beijing; Tasso Von Berlepsch, Sales Director of Chopard China; Gao Feng, President of Bottega Veneta China; Thomas Chien, Vice President of Design, HTC; Liu Zhijuan, General Manager, Lanvin China; Long Baijin, General Manager of Mainland China, Scottish Development International; Mao Geping, Chairman of MGPIN Cosmetics; and Zhao Qian, Chief Representative of Federation Francais de la Couture China.

With the rapid development of the Chinese economy, many fashion brands have arrived in China. Meanwhile, Chinese domestic fashion brands have gradually fostered their own characteristics. China is shifting from a manufacturing powerhouse to a brand-rich nation.

To help the transition, the AMP will provide professionals in the fashion and luxury business with knowledge, a global strategic mind-set, advanced management skills, and an extensive business network, helping participants improve their competitiveness, innovation and brand influence. The course will be taught through lectures, case studies, team projects, company visits and roundtable discussions.

Professor Qian Yingyi believes the collaboration indicates an increase in high-end, global fashion education. This will facilitate the training of high-quality Chinese talents and seamless exchanges within the global fashion community.

"After 20 years of learning, creating and accumulating, China's fashion industry is at a new starting point. The fashion industry will only be more important to the national economy. As China's leading fashion media group, Trends has always led the industry and instilled a fashion sense in the Chinese people. This is the 20th anniversary of Trends and this cooperation is a major milestone for our business," said Mr. Liu Jiang.
