More than 180 labels from all over Europe, including among others Guess, Marc O'Polo Junior, Napapijri, roberto cavalli junior, simonetta, Trussardi Junior and Vingino, presented their new summer collections to the international trade audience.
Around 1,000 trade visitors from 26 countries (Europe and overseas) used the new platform for children's, baby and maternity fashion to fill their order books and to establish new business contacts. As a result, already the premiere event was able to fulfill the high expectations of the industry.
"The positive feedback from our exhibitors and visitors and the high interest shown by the media prove that our concept has gone down very well and that it has good prospects for the future," summed up Katharina C. Hamma, Chief Operating Officer of the Koelnmesse GmbH, after the successful premiere.
"With the first Children's Fashion Cologne we have been able to fill the gap that had been missing in Central Europe until now, namely a central and high-class platform, while at the same time sending a clear signal to the industry," continued Hamma.
The fashion and lifestyle magazine, Luna, was the co-initiator of the Children's Fashion Cologne. Managing Director and publisher, Uwe Schröder, was also very pleased with the debut event: "We are delighted with this totally successful premiere. The positive atmosphere and the good discussions speak for themselves and for the event. A number of new renowned, international brands have already confirmed their participation in January 2014."
