Rebecca Minkoff launches denim line with good cause

Expressing her love for denim, acclaimed fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff has launched a denim line for girls.

The line featuring five denim styles includes three styles of jeans, two styles of shorts and two styles of casual t-shirts.

The jeans range named after streets of New York City includes - the Jane Skinny Jean, in white, grey cobalt and medium blue wash, The Mercer Boyfriend Jean offering perfectly worn in knee holes and the Bleecker, which is a skinny jean with paisley design.

The shorts ranges in blue and white are named the Crosby Short and the Perry Short, while the t-shirt ranges using Supima cotton and modal blend adopted their names from Brooklyn streets and are called Smith Boyfriend Pocket Tee and Bedford Front Tail Shirt.

The designer collaborated with some of the leading denim mills of Los Angeles to produce the new denim range, while using locally-sourced, top quality power stretch fabrics.

The collection comes inspired by a noble cause as purchase of every single piece of the collection would trigger a donation to ‘No Kid Hungry, Share Our Strength’ program.

Denim comes as an addition to Ms. Minkoff’s portfolio, which already consists of a successful clothing and accessories line.

Leading the fashion industry in apparels, casual luxury handbags and accessories, the New York-based, San Diego-raised designer’s playful and subtly edgy designs are a favourite amongst girls in the US and abroad.
