New local designers to launch F/W collections at LRFW

Ms Smitty by Jennifer Smith of Maumelle, Ark.; Foreign by India Callahan of Dumas, Ark.; Behold My Essence (B.M.E.) by Eric Summons of Little Rock, Love R.O.C.S. by Shonda Ali-Shamaa of Conway; Lymelyfe by Lisa Jackson of Little Rock.

Designers are excited to launch their Fall/Winter collections at LRFW's Big Night on Saturday, July 20 at Robinson Center Exhibition Hall. Each designer is bringing something new and unique to the table. Foreign is inspired by an out of this world concept.

"This line is inspired by color and me, and also warriors to show that I can overcome any obstacles" said Callahan, an incoming freshman student at University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Ali-Shamaa has similar inspiration as Callahan.

"I'm inspired by color and the color within myself" said Ali-Shamaa, owner of Love R.O.C.S.

The designers also agreed that they are having last minute jitters with the Big Night only being a short time away.

"I'm excited. Last minute [updates] are nerve-wracking, to me, but I’m really enjoying this experience," said Jackson, owner of Lymelyfe.

Summons has a different perspective, "With the show being days away, I feel I can relax, B.M.E. is ready and I am excited to see audience members’ reaction to my presentation!"

Little Rock Fashion Week
