Supermodel David Gandy speaks at Vogue's College

As muse to Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, face of Marks & Spencer and official ambassador of London Collections: Men, the Select model has come to epitomise men's luxury fashion whilst also representing the high street. Mapping the symbiotic relationship between his successful career and the rise of menswear, David will talk to celebrated fashion luminary and long-standing journalist, Hilary Alexander on 24th July.

“Since I made my first steps into the fashion industry, signing with Dolce & Gabbana in 2006, we've seen lots of changes in men's fashion," explains David. “It's been a pleasure to be a part of this and I'm always looking for ways to make fashion more accessible to a larger audience, so sharing my story with Industry members is something I'm looking forward to.”

As the world's most successful male model, David has been shot by the likes of Mario Testino and Steven Meisel. In the last year he has graced over 20 magazine covers alone, walked runways around the globe and starred in numerous campaigns. He also blogs regularly for VOGUE.CO.UK and reviews cars for GQ.com. He has shifted perceptions, both as a model and as a brand ambassador, becoming the first male ever to be nominated for the esteemed 'Model of the Year' accolade at the British Fashion Awards, represent his country in the Olympic Closing Ceremony and appear on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

David will discuss body shape and how the 'Light Blue' campaign influenced the way fashion views masculine beauty, how he continues to push the boundaries of male modelling, and the impact this has had upon British menswear as a whole – where does he see the market going and can it ever be as successful as womenswear?
