‘Get ready to beat the rising heat in style’ - This statement well reflects the idea behind the ongoing Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim at Miami Beach.

The event features all the vibrancy in swim, beach and bath wears, with several renowned as well as upcoming designers presenting their swimwear collections at the show.

Targeting women in the age group of 18-40, L*Space by Monica Wise showcased a beach inspired collection of swimwear highlighting beach shades like yellow, blues and aqua with reversibility and use of lots of sparkles. Also, there were cover-ups and crochet pieces.

New-York based designer Mara Hoffman, who has been named as the Mercedes-Benz Presents’ designer—a prestigious award that demonstrates dedication to the use of quality materials, unique style and innovative design—presented her collection inspired by intricate prints of Southern Asia. The pieces like flirty ruffled bikini top and matching tote created a feeling of intertwined cobras. The collection included blue tank dress, strapless one-piece, rash guard-inspired top and printed pants.

Spanish designer Dolores Cortes, the sole European invited to the show, presented a collection of bikinis, trikinis and swimsuits inspired by jungle and punk culture themes. The collection embracing several interesting cut outs and new shapes, flaunted lot many colours in darker shades of blue, yellow, greens and pink to create a shadow effect.

Nicolita designer Nicole Di Rocco in her collection inspired by the movie ‘The Search for the Perfect Booty’ featured a wide range of swimsuit bottoms with pieces highlighting curves and booty. The bottoms with Cuban style comprising high-waisted 1940s swimsuits featuring brighter and bolder prints and much use of lace and crochet, offered great fittings.

In its DHL sponsored runway show Agua Bendita showed animal print one-pieces, studded vests and risqué bikinis.

Australian brand Suboo, known for its outstanding graphic prints, presented a collection inspired by the architecture of Singapore and James Bond girls.

Beach Bunny, a leader in the swimwear industry for its cutting edge styles and innovative designs, showed a range of bikinis highlighting bold colors and sexy image of the wearer, while not compromising on the ease.

Geometric prints and crop tops marked the collection of CM Cia Maritima at the show, while Gottex tried offering a solution for solar-tan in its technology inspired collection.

Oakley presented a sports-inspired collection mainly in stripes.
