The third edition of THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF from 19 to 22 July made for smiling faces at the ›Botschaft‹ on Cecilienallee. To the tune of 4,000 trade visitors browsed and ordered from 230 collections.

An international pool of exhibitors from 18 nations including Kenya and Japan, presented the fashion for the 2014 Spring/Summer season. Especially Russian buyers capitalised on THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF under the umbrella brand of CPD for their order cycle.

The line-up of side events including a Fashion Blogger Café, the industry Get-Together and a press breakfast rounded off the Düsseldorf order platform care of Igedo Company.

Project Director Elke Sautter said: “Next to our regular customer base who welcomed their trade buyers during the event, there were many new international collections to be discovered yet again. This means we are offering the interested expert audience a new, exciting portfolio to complement their ranges time and again. This is what THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF is synonymous with.”

Sibylle Nann-Deckert in charge of selling OSKA in Western, Northern and Eastern Germany, was also happy to confirm that the renovated venue is now sparkling with a modern, new shine. With her agency she already occupies the rooms at the ›Botschaft‹ a week before and several days after the official duration of the trade show to handle her order business there.

She says: “The renovated facilities are received very well by our buyers and we are enjoying the great working atmosphere.” Just as delighted is Philipp Kronen, Managing Partner of Igedo Company: “For the first time our exhibitors have cashed in on the opportunity to present their collections over a prolonged period. This proves that investing in this facility was the right move for us.”

Also proving a major success was the meeting of national and international bloggers on the second day of the trade show at the so-called FleetMeet of the Fashion Blogger Café. In the sunny courtyard there were four hours of blogging and networking about trends and key looks.

Commenting on this, co-organiser and CEO of Styleranking, Roland Schweins, says: “I’m happy that we were invited once again to hold the FashionBloggerCafé with Igedo. Bloggers are becoming increasingly important for the fashion industry. It’s nice to be able to present Düsseldorf as a fashion destination in this way – the city is open to new channels of communication.”

The trade show opening also kicked off the trade show’s own blog on THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF website. In the initial posts hot spots in the city such as bars, exhibitions and Düsseldorf “in” stores were covered in cooperation with the well-known blogger Claudio Weber. In future, fashion themes will also be focalised here.
