On July 22 and 23, 2013, Première Vision New York and Indigo New York came together for their first combined July edition.

As fashion's key players filled New York City's Metropolitan Pavilion, the Fall Winter 14/15 season kicked off to a dynamic start. Since purchasing Direction by Indigo in 2009, Première Vision has sought to find synergy between the two shows. They have now created an expanded "one-stop shopping" event.

Attendance was high, with more than 4,062 registered attendees during the two days. A similar success to the already established January editions.

Exhibitors were impressed by the turnout, and especially by the quality of the visitors. For Bak-Ay Tekstil, this season's show was busier than last season. Pizval remarked that, due to the merging of the two shows, they were able to meet with more customers in one place.

For many exhibitors, such as Kate Alexander Design, the show provided a chance to meet new contacts, as well as refresh existing connections. Robert Noble was pleased that about a quarter of the contacts they saw were new.

"The right people are here," remarked first-time Indigo exhibitor Marcie Designs. "Most of the people we've met are serious buyers." "Première Vision gives us a good understanding of the North American market," commented Pizval.

The 254 exhibitors represented the world's leading weavers, accessories companies and textile design studios. Their Fall Winter 14/15 collections demonstrated a striking amount of innovation. A full range of materials were available, from lace to high-tech fabrics to knitwear.

First-time exhibitor Balas Textile offered a variety of high-end technical products such as fireproof fabrics and breathable moisture-management fabrics.

The print and surface design studios displayed an array of bold new creations. Marina Ignarski Designs, another first-timer, brought dark hand-painted florals and beaded embroidery. Some of Longina Phillips’ most popular designs included mineral textures and graphic florals.
