Lakmé Fashion Week reveals winners of W/F model auditions

Lakmé Fashion Week Model Auditions is India’s most popular and respected launch pads for new faces, having introduced some of the most successful names in the modeling industry like Katrina Kaif, Yana Gupta, Mugdha Godse and Miss India World Kanishta Dhankar amongst many others.

Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) aims to redefine the future of Indian fashion by encouraging youthful new talent and providing them with an opportunity to showcase their potential.

Upholding the high standards of quality and talent that LFW symbolizes, 7 finalists were chosen after three intense rounds of audition, each judged by the jury members. These models were evaluated on various parameters including poise, confidence, personality and most importantly, on their ability to embody and personify a designer’s vision on the runway.

Post the selection of new models, Purnima Lamba, Lakmé, Head, Innovations, said, “The model auditions at Lakmé Fashion week have discovered some iconic Lakmé faces of the past. Angela Jonsson for instance, who features in our new 9to5 campaign. This season we welcome some new faces to the much coveted fashion event and wish them well in their debut on the ramp.”

Announcing the selected new faces, Saket Dhankar-Head Fashion, IMG Reliance, said, “Introducing new fashion talent is core to the Lakmé Fashion Week identity. The LFW Model Auditions is amongst India’s topmost platform dedicated to introducing fresh models year-after-year.

"This season, we have identified seven new faces, carefully selected by our esteemed jury, from a record number of registrations. Apart from being torch bearers of the platform these promising young models are sure to make a niche for themselves in the industry.”
