Yamamay to introduce Miss Universe swimwear line

Yamamay and the Miss Universe Organization announced an exclusive partnership between the two international, female-focused brands in which a Miss Universe swimwear collection will be created and distributed by the Italian swimwear and lingerie maker.

The agreement with the Miss Universe Organization, co-owned by billionaire Donald J. Trump, comprises a multi-year sponsorship that will license a swimwear collection featured in the global beauty competition.

The 2014 Summer Collection, named “Yamamay for Miss Universe,” will debut at the 2013 MISS UNIVERSE Pageant held at Crocus City Hall in Moscow on November 9th.

“The Miss Universe Pageant is viewed by almost 1 billion people around the world, withextraordinary brand recognition in the Asian and Pan-American markets,” says Gianluigi Cimmino, CEO of Yamamay. “We are very delighted by this agreement which takes the international outreach of the Yamamay brand a step further.”

The Miss Universe pageant was originally created as a promotional event for a local swimwear company, eventually evolving into the premier international beauty competition that it is today. The new “Yamamay for Miss Universe” line honors the glamorous style that originally launched the organization. The Miss Universe swimsuit styles may have changed throughout the pageant’s history but one thing has remained the same…the pageant is a celebration of confidence and beauty.

The new swimwear collection will be available in all Yamamay stores both in Italy and abroad as well as online. Additionally, the future Miss Universe 2013 will star in the advertising campaign to promote the “Yamamay for Miss Universe” 2014 Summer Collection, a reflection of the glamour and style associated with the two brands.

The Miss Universe Organization, a Donald J. Trump and NBCUniversal joint venture, is a global community empowering role models of beauty, health and leadership for young women of today. The organization is dedicated to partnering with charities around the world, and to increasing HIV/AIDS awareness by focusing on women's health issues.
