Designers Omri and Jason share, “We're thrilled to be back at Nolcha for a second season. We think it's an awesome platform to showcase our work. We have some great things in store for this season's show and can't wait to be back on the runway.”
The Spring/Summer 2014 collection is named "#WearReal”. TVP think a t-shirt can be a personal billboard. They say that your clothes should show off who you are, so you should show others what you stand for. Omri and Jason created #WearReal as a lifestyle for those who wear their values on their sleeve, sometimes even literally.
The inspiration for this seasons collection derived from Omri and Jason being “so sick” of graphic t-shirts currently around that do not mean anything, for example; ‘Varsity Hockey 1965’, ‘Where’s the Beef’. TVP creates stylish and sustainable apparel that doesn't skimp on quality or comfort. For Nolcha, they will be continuing their eco-friendly line featuring unique materials.
Omri and Jason comment, “People don't usually associate charities and non-profits with style. In order to highlight this connection, we knew we had to start with some awesome designs that really popped and stood out.
"After people realize that our designs are based on non-profit logos, they get even more excited because they are now contributing to a greater cause while also looking good. That said, one of the most challenging parts of starting TVP was quitting our cushy jobs in finance to start something from scratch that has more meaning!”
Kerry Bannigan, CEO of Nolcha Fashion Week commented; “The team are beyond excited to welcome The Vanity Project back to the runway. They are an dynamic duo with fantastic energy and I am a big fan of how they are working to make social good stylish.”
