Philadelphia museum to host exhibition on Grace Kelly

An exhibit tour, emphasizing the almost fairytale-like dreamy life of the late American film actress and fashion icon of her times Grace Kelly, is going to take place at the James A. Michener Art Museum in Pennsylvania.
Scheduled to be held from October 28, 2013 through January 26, 2014, the retrospective event will offer a sneak peek into the life of the Philadelphia-born screen legend who later went on to become the Princess of Monaco in 1956.
Sourced from various archived resources, the exhibits will include a range of haute couture gowns as well as the famous Yves Saint Laurent’s Mondrian dress.
In addition to Kelly’s eclectic wardrobe, the event titled ‘Grace Kelly: Beyond the Icon’ will also feature the talented actress’s film clips, personal photos, home-shot videos and letters from her husband Prince Rainier of Monaco.
Known for her inimitable humanitarian and philanthropic activities, Grace Kelly had won the best actress Academy Award for her role in the 1954 movie ‘The Country Girl’.
