Customers will be able to buy on NET-A-PORTER.COM, FENDI ready-to-wear and accessories including timeless FENDI icons such as the 2Jours and Baguette.
This long term relationship will also include retail exclusives as well as NET-A-PORTER.COM’S edit of the seasonal collections.
This partnership will commence with FENDI Autumn/Winter 2013 pre-collection, reflecting the modern translation of the brand’s DNA and perfectly combining roman roots with innovation and Savoir Faire with creativity. The result is a collection that embodies sophistication, femininity and luxury materials.
“We are delighted to be embarking on this strategic partnership with Net-a-Porter.com, the leader in online luxury retail with which FENDI shares such values as passion for innovation, modernity and creativity.
"This collaboration is an important step in FENDI’s digital and retail journey that will contribute to our growth and reinforce the transmission of our brand's core values”, affirms Pietro Beccari, FENDI Chairman and CEO.
“We are thrilled to be launching Fendi,” says Alison Loehnis, Managing Director of NET-A-PORTER.COM. “It’s an incredible brand with such strong heritage and craftsmanship and now women in over 170 countries can shop Fendi like never before.
"Our aim is to offer our customers access to diverse brands - from emerging young talent to established fashion houses from any device, any time, any where. We look forward to a fantastic long term partnership and working together on many exciting initiatives to come.”
The house of FENDI was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925 with the opening of the first FENDI boutique– a handbag shop and fur workshop. Soon winning international acclaim, FENDI emerged as a brand renowned for its elegance, craftsmanship, innovation and style.
In 1965, the collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld begins and continues today. In 1992 Silvia Venturini Fendi is appointed FENDI’s accessories creative director. In 2000 the LVMH Group acquires FENDI becoming in 2001 its majority shareholder. Today FENDI is synonymous with tradition, experimentation and creativity.
NET-A-PORTER.COM was launched in June 2000 and has since successfully established itself as the world’s premier online luxury fashion destination. Presented in the style of a fashion magazine, NET-A-PORTER.COM features collections from over 350 of the world’s most coveted designers.
