Vietnam's Fashion and Passion to be broadcast from Sept

The ‘Aquafina Fashion and Passion 2013’ show, which concluded recently in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, will be broadcast on the country’s national television VTV9 from September 9, 2013.

This is the first time that a fashion show would be aired on television as a program and the episodes will be broadcast every week night.

The fashion show displayed collections of Vietnam’s renowned designers including Huynh Hai Long and Dang the Huy, Thai Ba Dung, Nguyen Duy Truong, Truong Thanh Hai and Hoang Minh Ha, the winner of Vietnamese Project Runway 2013.

Vietnamese singer My Tam participated for the first time in the show and introduced her brand ‘Nightingale’ on the runway.

The fashion show also introduced two new promising female designers LEK and Angel Phan from the Vietnamese fashion industry.

Designer LEK, who is famous for her bridal line ‘Chi Lek Bridal’ displayed her bridal wear collection on the runway made from silk lace, satin, tulle and chiffon silk.

The Aquafina show is one of the major fashion events in Vietnam held every year with the aim of showcasing the collections of Vietnam’s well known fashion designers as well as offering a platform for new and upcoming designers from the country to showcase their creations.
