Rick Owens opens a pop-up store in East London

After wooing Central Londoners with his creations, which are sold exclusively at his Mayfair district boutique, the American designer Rick Owens is now reaching out to the other part of the fashion capital by opening a pop-up store in East London.
The Paris-based fashion talent has recently unveiled a 200 square-metre short-term sales space for his diffusion line DRKSHDW (or Dark Shadow), which was originally launched in the year 2005.
Open till October 13, 2013, the pop-up retail outlet will feature the label’s signature pieces, mainly made from denim fabric.
DRKSHDW specializes in a range of eclectic ensembles made from luxurious materials like soft washed leather, fine cashmere and frayed silk.
An alumnus of Otis College of Art and Design, the California-born designer founded his eponymous line Rick Owens in 1994. The designer is a proud recipient of CFDA Perry Ellis Emerging Talent Award (2002) and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award (2007).
