As soon as the New York Fashion week wrapped up with oodles of sartorial pomp and élan, the industry bigwigs on the other side of the Atlantic got busy with the ongoing London Fashion Week (LFW) revelry, celebrating forthcoming Spring/Summer 2014 trends.

The London-based Turkish designer Bora Aksu opened the prestigious do with his immaculately styled collection, enhanced with intricate crochet detailing. The latest pieces included a fuchsia ball gown with ruche sleeves, dainty tassel playsuits, sheer black mini dresses and high-necked blouses and blazers.

Day two of LFW saw an exclusive tattoo heavy apparel range from the House of Holland label. Drawing inspiration from the tattoo parlours of Venice Beach, the brand featured structured shift dresses, skin-tight leopard print paper skirts, crisp white shirts and silk pyjamas, decorated with neon-hued tattoo appliqués.

The third day of the bi-annual event feasted on designer Emma Hill’s last collection as the creative director of English fashion company Mulberry. Celebrating the inimitable British style on a vivid palette of red, white and blue, the ensembles included striped cropped trousers, A-line skirts, leather shirts, jacquard coats and silk dresses.

Once again Londoner’s favourite label Temperley London showcased an extraordinarily beautiful line, replete with the 1950’s vibes. Playing with shades of fuchsia, pale pink, cappuccino and black, the range presented pretty dress coats, flowery full skirts and trapeze tops, tastefully adorned with mirror prints, embroidery and shimmery embellishments.
