A series of Fall-Winter 2013 collections created by retail houses, textile companies and young and experienced Pakistani fashion designers were shown at the just concluded third edition of Islamabad Fashion Week (IFW).

Gul Ahmed, the leading textile group of the country, presented its new range made from exotic viscose, silk velvet and Pashmina fabrics. Adorned with gold thread detailing and paisley and digital prints, the line featured long dresses, palazzos and colourful tops in various cuts.

Fashion label Couture 69, from Usman Dittu, showcased a festive range on the second day of the event. Based on season favourite neon colours, the collection included a frilly back halter-neck handkerchief dress and a traditional bridal ensemble in shades of English yellow and turquoise.

Islamabad-based Nasia Zafar Koreishi, the designer behind NZK Collection, displayed an uncluttered sophisticated line replete with short layered chiffon tops decorated with interesting sequined necklines.

Labels like AP Gallerie, Erum Khan, Envogue Fashion, Kayseria, Ittehad Textile and Sobia Zuha also presented their latest avant-garde apparel ranges at the three-day-long fashion fest.
