This requirement dictated the current creative attitude of Genny, which in the words of its new artistic director Sara Cavazza Facchini, summarises the need to rediscover the only true feminine and authentic luxury that can interpret the requirements of women in the 21st century.
Just like at the very beginning with Donatella Girombelli, a woman is again at the helm of Genny with the aim of securing a winning mix, bred from the coming together of fashion, industry and being on the same wavelength as the public.
Attuned to the transformations of society and the changing role of women, she will balance between luxury and simplicity and direct her efforts towards true femininity.
Her story is the product of the coexistence of various cultures and opposing geographical locations: intimately cosmopolitan, intensely curious and passionate for novelties and new currents, sensitive to cultural diversity, she was drawn to travel around the world and to deeply explore any context she found herself in.
A visionary who is full of interests, Sara Facchini loves beauty in every form, she is a woman of great talent, strongly dedicated to her work, an entrepreneur but most of all a mother, she incarnates ingenuity and depth. Sara Facchini debuted at Milano Moda Donna on the 23rd September at 11.30 showing her spring/summer 2014 collection on the catwalks, the real essence of the Maison’s new style.
There were modern pieces aesthetically created on the basis of a preference for fluid lines able to enhance femininity, with the utmost care for details.
This elegance has an ongoing dialogue with femininity, and the collection skilfully combines classical elements with modern fabrics, with a play of light and prints, the epitome of the truest chic and romantic.
