Ritika Bharwani unveils 'Warrior Princess' A/W'13 line

Capturing the two very distinctive facets of womanhood, Ritika has subtly incorporated her signature techniques such as draping, and embellishments in this contemporary collection.

Rich fabrics such as georgette satin, tulle, lace, silk and jersey translate into confident and free-flowing silhouettes and the structuring further defines the fabrics. Drawing inspiration from the mesh worn by warriors, the ensembles in this collection feature a beautiful mesh-like pattern with detailed elements, such as embroidered flowers and satin cords.

The collection’s colour palette is vivid and varied, including colours like dusty pink, crimson, emerald and black. The gowns, jumpsuits and short dresses feature shoulder and back detailing, with customized panels of lace. The collection is both calm, and strong, just as a woman can be.
