Titled ‘From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelly Beyond the Icon’, the event aims to offer an insight into the life of Philadelphia-born movie star who later went on to become the Princess of Monaco.

Scheduled to run through January 26, 2014, the expansive display includes more than 100 items, such as apparels and other personal objects, which once belonged to the beautiful Hollywood starlet turned European royalty.

The vast exhibit, sourced from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the screen legend’s wardrobe at the Palace of Monaco, showcases some of the unforgettable designer wear pieces, such as dresses, suits, movie costumes, evening wear and bathing robes.

The exhibits include the Edith Head-designed aqua coloured dress, Yves Saint Laurent’s Mondrian gown, the remarkable bridal outfit and headpiece from the star’s civil wedding ceremony, the famous gown which Kelly wore when she won the 1955 Best Actress Oscar for her role in ‘The Country Girl’, and some accessories like white gloves and lace-trimmed hats.

In addition to Kelly’s eclectic fashion ensembles, the event also features the talented actress’s Oscar trophy, film clips, personal photos, home-shot videos and letters from her husband Prince Rainier of Monaco.

The touring exhibit was first opened in 2010 at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum and later traveled to countries like Brazil, Australia, Kazakhstan and Canada.
