Jessica Minh Anh hosts fashion show atop Grand Canyon

Global fashion show organizer and super model Jessica Minh Anh has surprised again by hosting a catwalk event on top of the world-famous engineering wonder—the Grand Canyon Skywalk, located in the western edge of Grand Canyon, Arizona.

Held at the picturesque 4,000 feet high transparent glass walkway above the serene Colorado River, the show featured an array of exquisite haute couture and high-end ready-to-wear collections from designers belonging to 20 countries spread across five continents, including America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Dubbed as J Autumn fashion show, the runway event opened with a collection from Portuguese fashion label Joana Montez & Patricia de Melo. Created on clean silhouettes, the light fabric made pieces were adorned with decorative details and multiple layers.

Russian fashion talent Lidia Demidova featured a vibrantly coloured heavy on geometric patterns line, replete with metallic leather, organza, taffeta and twill fabrics, while the Spanish brand Chula showcased a Grand Canyon landscape-inspired range. A delightful amalgamation of western designs and Asian embroidery, the silky ensembles were enhanced with motifs of rock, sky, flora and fauna, as well as the Hualapai Tribe.

The glitzy catwalk event was closed with an haute couture parade, staged by the Lebanese celebrity designer Ziad Nakad. Based on a warm palette of deep red, blue, emerald, purple and beige, the simple and sophisticated ultra feminine pieces reflected the romantic vibes of fall season.

Known as the Global Fashion Mover And Shaker, the UK-based entrepreneur Jessica Minh Anh has earlier organized fashion shows at some of the world’s unlikeliest venues, such as England’s iconic London Tower Bridge, Malaysia’s Petronas Twin Towers’ Skybridge and Seine River in Paris.

Owned by the Grand Canyon Resort Corp., Grand Canyon Skywalk is a transparent horseshoe-shaped cantilever bridge and a major tourist attraction in Arizona. The sky-high glass bridge has attracted thousands of visitors since it opened in 2007.
