Till December 14, Gucci will support Ekam’s efforts to garner funds towards subsidized surgeries for children with congential heart disease. To enhance the fundraising efforts, Roohi Jaikishan, Executive Director of RRO, will co-host a specialised children’s event at the boutique on November 23, 2013.
Inspired by a sense of commitment to the world's children, the initiative is part of Gucci’s on-going philanthropic endeavours to improving access to and quality of education and healthcare for children.
The announcement coincides with the in-store debut of the Children’s Fall/Winter 2013-2014 Collection. Designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini, the collection takes its inspiration from a “back to town & school” mood and is full of color and fashionable details.
Symbolized by the iconic Gucci teddy bear, the line is entirely Made in Italy and features products for newborns from zero to 36 months as well as for boys and girls from two to eight years old. The collection comprises apparel, shoes, small leather goods, footwear and selected accessories, including jewelry, sunglasses, scarves and blankets.
Roohi Jaikishan, the co-host of Gucci’s November 23 event, is the Executive Director of RRO, which independently continues to implement several Wellness Programs as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. RRO hopes that its small initiatives go a long way in helping parents make the right food choice for their families and to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
