Royalty to grace designer Jonathan Blake London show

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia will be present. The following will also attend: Clive Christian global ambassador Victoria Christian, other distinguished guests, and London-based fashion and society media. The event will be held in The Penthouse of The Grosvenor House Apartments.

Jonathan, 22, launched his first Jonathan Blake couture collection -- the Bella Donna Spring/Summer 2013 Couture Collection -- in Houston in October 2012 at the age of 21. Jonathan introduced the Amore e Potenza Fall/Winter 2013 Collection in April 2013 and the Semplice Eleganza Spring/Summer 2014 Collection as recently as four weeks ago.

Victoria Christian is a client and friend of the fashion designer. She purchased several items from the Jonathan Blake Fall/Winter 2013 Collection, and she was featured with Jonathan in an article by Houston Chronicle fashion writer Joy Sewing last month. Full-time residents of Houston and regular visitors to London, the Boyces are well-established international business executives and philanthropists and have maintained a solid friendship with Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine for many years.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to host my first reception and trunk show here in London. If my guests in London respond as well to my collections as Victoria Christian has, then I expect I will be coming back to London several times next year for a series of private events,” said Jonathan, who arrived in London from New York City on Saturday, Nov. 9.

“In my first London trunk show, I will showcase 15 items from my Fall/Winter 2013 Collection and Spring/Summer 2014 Collection, including the versatile Lindsey silk dress. Several of the pieces I am featuring tonight are made from a powder blue silk fabric. Others are made of gold lace.”

Jonathan and the Jonathan Blake line have been well received among new clients, potential buyers, fashion media and bloggers. Jonathan’s youthful charm, popularity and early successes led to his nomination and recent selection to The Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2013. He was also named to The Houston Chronicle’s “Hot List” last summer.
