Amaya Arzuaga wins Spanish National Design Award Fashion

Amaya Arzuaga, the talented Spanish designer, has become the first-ever female recipient of the prestigious National Design Award Fashion, a recognition given by the Ministry of Culture of Spain.
 
The Burgos-born fashion expert was awarded with the title for her international success and contribution to the overall fashion industry.
 
A member of the Association of Spanish Fashion Designers (ACME), Amaya is a regular participant in the Milan, London, New York, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona fashion weeks.
 
The designer, who founded her firm in the year 1994, exports nearly 80 percent of her production to over 37 countries and owns more than 200 boutiques in Spain.
 
Other than the National Design Award Fashion, Amaya has also bagged recognitions like the Primer Premio Cibeles, Empresaria joven de Expansión and the Medalla de oro al mérito en las Bellas Artes in 2005.
 
The National Design Award Fashion is an annual prize given to a person for his/her remarkable work and outstanding contribution to the Spanish cultural life.
