Marge Simpson, the adorable blue beehive bedecked cartoon character from the popular American animated sitcom ‘The Simpsons’, has turned into a fashion icon, thanks to the famous fashion cartoonist Alexsandro Palombo.

According to vogue.co.uk, the artist has unveiled a collection, featuring the slightly neurotic character in some of the most iconic dresses that have helped in changing the course of the history of costume which ultimately brought major changes in the society.

Paying homage to the journey of women’s liberation since the 1900s, the images showcase the lovable fictional personality in Audrey Hepburn’s black Givenchy gown from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Kate Middleton’s navy blue Issa London engagement dress and Geri Halliwell’s Union Jack ensemble.

The artist also re-imagined Marge in Kate Moss’s Playboy bunny suit for the magazine’s 60th anniversary issue, Versace’s safety pin dress (made famous by Elizabeth Hurley), Marilyn Monroe’s world-famous billowing white frock, Victoria Beckham’s loose-fit grey dress, Jacqueline Kennedy’s pink skirt suit ensemble and Lady Diana’s strapless floor grazing number.
