Exhibitors and visitors alike will gain great trend inspiration from the new design fair at Bella Center. To bolster this inspiration, DesignTrade Copenhagen has added the renowned Swedish trend expert Stefan Nilsson to its team of partners for the second edition of the event.

In addition to the partnership with Stefan Nilsson, DesignTrade is expanding the number and size of its trend areas relative to the fair in August.

“Our exhibitors and visitors must all leave the fair with a sense of inspiration and new knowledge about the latest trends that they could not have obtained elsewhere. Therefore, we have added Stefan Nilsson to our team and we are expanding our trend areas,” says Sales and Marketing Director Jacob Schmidt. He continues:

“Stefan Nilsson is a talented and recognised trend expert who truly has his finger on the pulse of today’s design. He has dubbed the four trend areas he is decorating at the fair ‘Drama’, ‘Forest 2.0’, ‘Talisman’ and ‘Nursery’, all of which will feature a wide range of exhibitor products.”

Stefan Nilsson, who participated at the “Design is Business” conference stage at the August event, looks forward to being an even bigger part of DesignTrade. Nilsson sees great potential in the event:

“DesignTrade is an inquisitive and fresh player in the trade show sector, representing the established, as well as the exciting and new. With its location in Copenhagen and the presence of strong Scandinavian design companies, DesignTrade has the potential not only to be Denmark’s best design fair, but also an important player in Northern Europe. At long last there is a major design fair in Copenhagen, and I look forward to being a part of it,” says Stefan Nilsson.

Stefan Nilsson will also give two trend talks daily at DesignTrade’s new Shopper’s Stage.

“Shopper's Stage will complement our academic knowledge stage, Design is Business, with a more hands-on programme targeted to buyers and the smaller stores. Stefan Nilsson’s trend talks will be a perfect fit here,” says Jacob Schmidt.

“In my talks, I will cover general trends and how trends come to Scandinavia. Then I will review the four different trend themes and explain how the themes will become visible in our decor and lifestyle. My goal of course is to inspire visitors and make them curious and prepared to try something new,” says Stefan Nilsson.

Stefan Nilsson is Sweden’s leading trend expert and works for the Trendgruppen trend agency. Stefan spots trend developments on their way to the Scandinavian scene in interior design, fashion, food and lifestyle, including through his visits to design and fashion fairs around the world. He frequently appears on the Swedish TV4 news programme Nyhetsmorgon and in magazines such as Plaza Interiör, Vårt Nya Hem, QX and  B*Inspired. In addition to his work at Trendgruppen, Stefan Nilsson runs two blogs and a design gallery.

DesignTrade Copenhagen will be held for the second time on 8-10 January 2014.
