Stanford Arts to host fashion conversations from Dec 2

The Stanford Arts Institute in California, US is set to host its very first ‘Fashion at Stanford’ fashion conversations where leading fashion critics and industry insiders would be providing insights regarding the industry and sharing their valuable expertise with students at the university.
 
According to a statement issued by Stanford University, groundbreakers from the fashion industry like New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn, J C Penney CEO Ron Johnson, American portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz, digital artist Pascal Dangin, Antoine Arnault, director of communications at Louis Vuitton, and American fashion designer Alexander Wang would be speaking at Stanford during the event.
 
The ‘Fashion at Stanford’ would bring to the campus fashion industry leaders who would offer insights and share stories about their fields of expertise. The guest speakers will illuminate aspects of branding, retail, marketing and design, and will participate in student workshops during their visits to campus.
 
Matthew Tiews, executive director of arts programs at Stanford, said there are many developments and changes taking place in the fashion industry and this is a perfect time to be having such kind of events where one can get knowledge about the industry from experts.
 
The conversations are divided such that they would be held during fall, winter and spring seasons, the first conversation in fall would be taking place on December 2, 2013, followed by the winter conversation which would be held on January 9, 2014 and February 4, 2014. The fashion conversations would end with spring which would be taking place on April 10, 2013.
