Mumbai to host India Resort Wear Fashion Week-2013

The forthcoming third edition of India Resort Wear Fashion Week (IRFW), a celebration of gorgeous beachwear and holiday attires, will be held in the country’s commercial and cultural hub, the city of Mumbai.

Scheduled to take place from December 12 to 14, 2013, the event, which earlier used to be organized in the nation’s favourite holiday destination Goa, will focus on India’s emerging and yet-to-be explored market of holiday wear apparels and accessories.

Ace Indian fashion talents like Pria Kataria Puri, Malini Ramani, Nandita Mahtani, Babita Malkani, Rocky S, Varoin Marwah, Masaba Gupta, Sounia Gohil, Shikhar Sharma and Sai Suman will present their latest collections of bright formal gowns and light breezy casual dresses at the event.

Popular Bollywood stylist Surily Goel is going to unveil her Getaway Glam range on the second day of the event. Inspired from the sunset hues of coastal areas, the line would be replete with floral prints and free-flowing silhouettes. Made from georgette, jersey and lace, the black, cream, ivory, beige and tangerine coloured pieces would be adorned with embroidery, foil printing and mirror work.

The tropical range’s daywear creations include shifts, jumpsuits, kaftans, beach shorts and roomy trousers. The collection’s sensual eveningwear will feature an array of sequined and jewelled stone-encrusted dresses, enhanced with shiny metallic accents.
