Julien’s Auctions, the famous California-based entertainment memorabilia auctioneer, is prepping up to sell some 750 covetable items, including clothing, which once belonged to a wide spectrum of artists in the international music domain.

Titled as ‘Icons & Idols: Rock 'n Roll’, the event will put up an array of remarkable clothing, worn by some of the world’s greatest musicians during their memorable on-stage performances, for sale.

Scheduled to take place from December 6 to 7, 2013, the auction will feature American singing sensation Lady Gaga’s infamous skin-coloured latex suit, a T-shirt belonging to a band member of Grateful Dead and the legendary late singer songwriter Jimi Hendrix’s embroidered vest.

One of the major highlights of the event will be the King of Pop Michael Jackson’s iconic Swarovski-embedded shimmering jacket, worn on the cover of 1997 LIFE magazine.

In addition to the stage-worn costumes, an impressive number of musical instruments, used by the likes of Paul McCartney and Jerry Garcia, as well as handwritten lyrics from Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, Bruce Springsteen and George Harrison will also go under the hammer.
