Mauro Grifoni set to open shop-in-shop in Harrods

Mauro Grifoni, the Italian fashion brand, is set to open a shop-in-shop at London’s famous department store Harrods.

Scheduled to be unveiled on December 15, 2013, the 440 square-feet store-within-a-store will feature women’s ready-to-wear clothing, such as denims and shearling jackets, and accessories from both the label’s main and diffusion (M. Grifoni) lines.

Set on Harrods’ only womenswear dedicated fourth-floor department Fashion Lab, the outlet features screen-installed wall spaces featuring footages of the brand’s look book shoot showcasing Cate Underwood.

The label’s pre-spring-2014 collection includes a combination of Hawaiian-style designs and bejewelled thread embroidery. Made using materials like silk, viscose, crepe, leather and nylon, the ensembles are enhanced with soft lines, sharp structures and jacquard patterns.

Based on a concocted mixture of soft, basic and wintery tones such as bright red, burgundy, fuchsia, sage green, black, white, pink and light blue, the pieces include small bomber jackets, double-face fabric jacket-shirts, slim-cut slacks, tops with fluid ruches and waist-hugging numbers.

Founded in 1992, headquartered in Caldogno, Mauro Grifoni started as a menswear-only brand before moving on to womenswear as well as denimwear.

Other than Italy, the label has presence in Japan, Germany, Belgium, Scandinavian, Holland, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Russia.

Established in 1834, Harrods is an upmarket department store that specializes in a range of luxury items.
