Like every year, the ateliers of French fashion company Chanel showcased their brilliance at the just concluded Métiers d'Art show.

Held in the city of Dallas, Texas, the annual fashion show featured the celebrated label’s pre-fall 2014 collection, inspired from the Texan and Native Indian styles.

A mix of South-western cowboy-like fashion and the brand’s signature craftsmanship, the line is decorated with fringes, feathers, beadwork and some noteworthy fabric treatments.

The collection featured earthy-toned tweed suits, prairie skirts, flowing dresses, 1970’s style A-line skirts and oversized warm Aztec-motif sweaters.

Some of the most remarkable pieces from the collection were a denim jacket with shiny gold-leaf lacquer detailing and a romantic blouse with thinly sliced paper-thin leather fringes on sleeves.

Other than the Rodeo-themed runway, the event also hosted a screening of the 20-minute movie ‘The Return’. Directed by the brand’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld, the film is based upon the life of the late Chanel founder Coco Chanel.

Before Dallas, the Métiers d’Art soirees have taken place in the world’s most exotic cities like Versailles, Venice, Shanghai, Moscow and Edinburgh.

Founded in 1909, Chanel is a high-fashion house that specializes not only in haute couture and ready-to-wear clothing but also luxury goods and fashion accessories.
