Parisian auctioneer Drouot to sell Paco Rabanne's dresses

A collection of nearly 200 dresses, designed by the famous Spanish couturier Paco Rabanne, is set to go under the hammer at the Parisian auction house Drouot.
 
Slated to take place on January 22, 2014, the event’s to be auctioned outfits were originally designed between the period of 1970s and 90s for traditional catwalks and were later given for theatre and opera performances.
 
Among the major attractions of the sale is a 1981 metallic plate and swan feather made short dress, which is estimated to fetch anywhere between 2,000 and 3,000 Euros, a 1977 wooden beads decorated ensemble (with estimates ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 Euros) and a metallic Cleopatra gown (expected to fetch somewhere between 2,000 and 3,000 Euros).
 
Originally owned by the Argentine opera company Grupo Acción Instrumental founder Jorge Zulueta and James Romano, the to-be-auctioned collection will also put up a large number of dramatic dresses and draped silk muslin chilabas for sale.
