The Mexican Fashion Week has entered into a partnership with the most important apparel and fashion trade show of Mexico, IM INTERMODA, in order to strengthen the fashion industry of the country by bringing together the creativity of national designers and the network of buyers, suppliers and manufacturers of the Mexican apparel industry.

According to a statement issued on Mexico Fashion Week's website, under the agreement designers showcasing at the fashion week would collaborate with exhibitors and apparel manufacturers participating in INTERMODA, and create designs for them which they could offer to their customers at discounted rates.

Beatrice Calles, CEO of Mexico Fashion Week, said the alliance between INTERMODA and the Mexico Fashion Week designers will offer buyers attending the apparel trade show value-added Mexican creations, and would consequently result into better sales for apparel manufacturers.

Cory Crespo, president of COLOURS which organizes the fashion week said this alliance with INTERMODA, along with the alliance signed with ProMexico supported by the Ministry of Economy, will provide an opportunity for Mexican designers to participate in national and international trade fairs and help in strengthening the Mexican fashion sector.
