British Plus-Size Fashion Weekend to begin on Feb 14

The second edition of UK’s exclusively regular size dedicated catwalk event British Plus-Size Fashion Weekend is going to take place from February 14 to 15, 2014.

Expected to attract nearly 1,000 people, comprising of fashion journalists, industry insiders and guests, the event will feature an array of bridalwear, lingerie, beachwear and swimwear lines.

Around four shows from established labels as well as up-and-coming talents such as Evans, Simply Be, Asos Curve, Tika Soomak, Dea London, Scarlett & Jo, Jane Watson and OPhee will be staged at the soiree.

Other than the runway presentations, the event will also set up a unique market place which will feature a range of clothing styles based on four key plus-size fashion shapes, including pear, apple, hourglass and inverted triangle.

The marketplace will also include fashion consultants who will help visitors in identifying and shop by their body shapes.

Organized by Trapped in a Skinny World fashion boutique and plus size fashion magazine Evolve Media, the fashion celebration is scheduled to run parallel with the first two days of London Fashion Week 2014.

The 2013’s edition of the plus-size fashion platform attracted more than 700 visitors.
