The Junior League of Raleigh, a nonprofit organization focused on training women as community leaders and volunteers, is partnering with Belk, the nation’s largest privately owned and maintained department store, for the 3rd annual Fashion Forward event.

The annual spring fashion benefit will celebrate the season’s must-have trends on Sunday, Mar. 9 at 6 p.m. at Belk Crabtree Valley Mall, located at 4325 Glenwood Ave. All event proceeds go to the Junior League of Raleigh to support its community partnerships, volunteer service and leadership training.

The event will feature a runway fashion show at 7 p.m., presenting all the latest spring fashions from Belk. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages while shopping before and after the fashion show. There will also be a special guest appearance by renowned fashion designer Trina Turk.

This year’s raffle items include a Michael Kors handbag, Dooney & Burke handbag, shoes, a signed Vietri piece, a three-night stay at any Omni Resort, Empire Eats and a Vietri experience, which includes a meet and greet lunch with Susan Gravely, Chairman and CEO of Vietri, and a tour of the Vietri showroom for the winner and a few friends.

“We are excited to partner with Belk again this year for another glamorous and fun evening,” said Whitney von Haam, League president. “We look forward to giving guests a sneak peak of the latest spring trends and Trina Turk’s 2014 Spring Ready to Wear line. This benefit event will support the League, our Center for Community Leadership, our training center, and the League’s community programs serving promising youth.”
