As the first event for the order season for Autumn/Winter 2014/2015 now draws to a close after four days the exhibitors at THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF can look back on an extremely successful CPD weekend. The leading order platform at the Düsseldorf location posted a marked increase in attendance, this time registering just under 5,000 visitors from 16 nations (compared to 4,000 visitors for the same season last year).

Trade buyers, key accounts and fashionistas were able to discover the latest trends in evening wear, design and avantgarde fashion as well as accessories and peruse 260 collections at the Botschaft on Cecilienallee, in an additional marquee put up in its courtyard and in the big ballroom of the Hilton Hotel. In addition to this, fashion photography and video installations were also on display at the various venues from 31 January to 3 February 2014 – the result of a co-operation with AMD, the Düsseldorf Academy for Fashion and Design.

Commenting on the event Ulrike Kähler, Project Director of National Trade Shows at the Igedo Company, said: “We have again enhanced our portfolio in the Contemporary and Design segments of THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF with 30% new exhibitors and have vastly expanded our ranges with the Evening segment at the Hilton Hotel.”

Managing Partner of the Igedo Company, Philipp Kronen, also voiced his satisfaction: “CPD as an umbrella brand for all suppliers at the Düsseldorf location also strengthens our own brand. We will, of course, continue promoting Düsseldorf’s standing as a fashion capital by supporting the initiative of all parties involved with such events as the Fashion Net Come Together, shuttle service and joint marketing and with our core competence.”

The programme of side events such as the illustrator – care of exhibitor Nashbag – who drew trade visitors’ bags and their contents on the first day of the trade fair, the FashionBloggerCafé, the Happy Hour in the run-up to the Fashion Net Party as well as the press breakfast on Sunday morning all went down very well.

Anja Schierholt, CEO of the Schierholt label said: “To sum up our first participation at THE GALLERY I can say that it was absolutely the right decision to exhibit here. We experienced a true “trade fair feeling” for the first time. We succeeded in winning over many new customers and are more than happy with our stand location and the services rendered at the trade fair.”

The next edition of THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF will be held from 25 to 28 July 2014 at the Botschaft premises.
