Marios Schwab features timeless staples at LFW
Feb '14
The Greco-Austrian fashion designer Marios Schwab opened his London Fashion Week (LFW) catwalk show with a collection of simple timeless wardrobe staples meant for a woman with a mind of her own.
The Central Saint Martins grad, who showcased his latest Autumn/Winter 2014 line on the third day of the event, chose to base his creations on a classy palette of black, white and grey colours. The featured pieces included fur trimmed black leather jackets, asymmetrical miniskirts, pinafore buckle strap little black dresses and floaty chiffon numbers.
English luxury brand Mulberry presented a line of sophisticated convertible leather handbags, which can be easily transformed into backpacks, designed in collaboration with British model Cara Delevingne. Meant for jet-setting professional modern women of today, the five-piece accessory collection showcased quilted grass green and purple coloured nappa leather square shaped bags with gilded rivets as well as black and white bags with camouflage patterns.
The ultra-feminine fashion label Temperley London decided to tread a bolder sexier path with its latest runway presentation. Replete with folk-inspired embroidery, varied length hemlines, and sheer panels and inserts, the ensembles included quilted floral strapless gowns, blue heavy knit capes, sexy long black skirts and floor skimming coats.
