SA Fashion Week platforms Key Designers S/S'14 Collection

South African Fashion Week (SAFW) with its focus on designer development, will platform the 2014 Spring/Summer Collections of all Key Designers in the country that are commercially successful.

“Luxury, desirable, ready to wear Collections created by the designers are the fundamental elements of a sustainable industry” says Lucilla Booyzen – Director of SA Fashion Week – which is now in its seventeenth year.

29 South African Designers, who either own their own stores or supply stores, will be showcasing their Spring/Summer Collections at SA Fashion Week early this April. The opulent Sheer Glamour Collections hosted by Motions and TRESemmé will open the programme on 2 April – as SAFW’s hair care sponsor.

The Sheer Glamour event will showcase South Africa’s most pioneering designers, including Black Coffee, Clive Rundle, Cutterier by Laz Yani, Joel Janse van Vuuren, Lunar, Vino, Rubicon and Gert-Johan Coetzee.

Prominent designers showing their Spring/Summer 2014 Collections at SA Fashion Week this year include Amanda Laird Cherry, Albertus Swanepoel, Colleen Eitzen, Ephymol, Shaldon Kopman, Lunar, Clive Rundle, Rubicon, Gert-Johan Coetzee and Black Coffee.

Cutterier by Laz Yani, winner of the Renault New Talent Search, will be launching his Crystal Collection this season in collaboration with Swarovski Crystals. This collection will be available for purchase in the Edgars X SAFW Capsule Stores in Sandton City and Melrose Arch from 25 July 2014.
