Featuring 22 showcases of A/W 2014 collections, the fifteenth edition of the MBFWMx would have 17 nationally renowned Mexican designers presenting their creations on the runway, as well as a special showcase from 3 designers from Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina.
The four-day fashion soiree would also feature presentations from a select group of emerging talents belonging to the Centro University of Mexico and Janette Klein University.
Renowned Mexican designer Alejandro Carlin is scheduled to open the show with his A/W’14 collection. Several globally-renowned designers including Pink Magnolia, Macario Jiminez, Alexia Ulibarri, Jorge Duque, Julia and Renata, David Saloman and Malafacha would be presenting their creations during the show.
Beatrice Calles, director-general of MBFWMx, said in a statement that this year, with the support of ProMexico (Mexican agency for promotion of investment and trade), a group of important buyers from France interested in acquiring collections of Mexican designers would also be attending the show.
A Business and Knowledge forum would also be organized on the sidelines of the show during the third day, where buyers and designers would get an opportunity to exchange information, as well as form business contacts, she added.
The MBFWMx would also have a special space dedicated to the National Fashion Shop, within the precincts of the fashion week, where more than twenty Mexican designers would be exhibiting their collections to the public.
