Designer Paula Raia opens Sao Paulo FW day three

Designer Paula Raia opened the third day of the ongoing Sao Paulo Fashion Week with a light and gentle collection of soft breezy clothes. Made using materials like raffia, straw, silk organza and woven cotton, the long earthy, off white and straw hued ensembles were enhanced with volumes and sexy cutouts.

Gloria Coelho took inspiration from multiple sources such as the armour, sun, psychedelic stripes, medieval era, men’s tailoring and the shapes of the 60s, 70s and 80s for her catwalk presentation. Adorned with rounded geometric patterns, the blue, green, nude, pink, pumpkin, red, gold, off-white and black hued line included trousers, coats with wide sleeves, crystal studded tulle dresses, cigarette pants and leather insert ruffled party dresses in varied lengths.

The works of famous Brazilian painter Candido Portinari played as inspiration behind designer Ronaldo Fraga’s line. Made from linen, silk, cotton and biodegradable Amnio, the range included handmade crochet dresses, stylish fluid numbers and embroidered jackets in white, orange and blue colours.

The Chinese Year of the Horse was the major driving factor for designers Renata and Lilly Sarti’s namesake label Lilly Sarti’s latest catwalk collection. Based in tones of sand, blue, camel, citrus, military green, black, off white, coffee and yellow, the textured cotton, chamois, jacquard, denim, crochet and silk tulle made creations were fringed jackets, fluid dresses, knitwear and swimsuits.

Colcci brand’s joint creative directors Adriana Moraes Zucco and Jeziel were influenced by the tropical world for their new summer 2015 range, made from silk, leather, stamped jacquard, lace, cotton and denim. The featured ensembles were jackets, pants, tops and dresses in shades of turquoise, indigo, off white, pink and nude.
