Well known Aussie designer Alice McCall opened the final day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia with her Spring/Summer 2014/15 cruise collection titled In My Dreams We Were Flying.
 
The label, which celebrated its 10th anniversary at the glitzy fashion do, presented a fashion forward collection, replete with striking digitalised prints, in shades of metallic petrol blue, pistachio green and shimmery as well as candy floss pinks. 
 
Tessa and Beth MacGraw, the sister design duo behind the signature fashion label MacGraw, infused several masculine elements in its latest catwalk collection which included structured blazers, buttoned shirts and high waist pants decorated with flirty feminine polka dots and frills.
 
Rising talent and MBFWA debutante Hayley Elsaesser showcased an innovative range named Redneck Nostalgia. Using pop culture vibes into contemporary designs, the Queensland University of Technology grad created 1950’s inspired ensembles in a mixed palette of both bright and pop shades of purple, green and blue.
 
Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty, the designer duo of the Australian luxury menswear label Song for the Mute, wrapped up the five-day-long event with their new male fashion collection Grey. The featured pieces were crafted from virgin alpaca wool blends as well as paraffin and resin coated fabrics.
 
In addition to the above mentioned names, the final day of the soiree also displayed fresh creations from Ae’Lkemi, Ixiah, Zhivago and AJE.
