Menswear brand R.Groove kicked off the penultimate day of Brazilian fashion fest Fashion Rio with its latest Spring-2015 line. Made using denim, linen and neoprene, the label’s creative director Rique Gonçalves created pieces in contemporary cuts and elongated silhouettes. Based on tones of red, blue, gray and black, the collection included tailored suits, parkas, shirts and trousers.

Inspired from the works of the French Post-Impressionist artist Paul Gauguin, the beachwear brand Salinas’ designer Jacqueline De Biase showcased a very colourful swimwear collection. Decorated with delicate tassels and sexy cutouts in the back, the highlighted ensembles included skimpy Brazilian string bikinis, cropped tops and one-piece swimsuits in a palette of black, white, burnt yellow, fiery red, coral and blue colours.

Drawing inspiration from the fictional kingdom of Atlantis and the Disney movie ‘The Little Mermaid’, designer Victor Dzenk crafted his new resortwear range. Encrusted with shiny crystals, the taffeta and tulle made menswear and womenswear pieces, such as trunks, robes, caftans, pleated midi skirts and swimsuits, were decorated with digital prints of shells, starfish and maps.
