Designer Mayyur Girotra opens flagship store in Mumbai

Young couturier, Mayyur R Girotra, well known fashion designer amongst Bollywood fashionistas and Royalties of the North, makes his foray into Mumbai with the opening of his flagship store in Khar west on the 14th road. 
 
Mayyur, who launched his signature label as recently as 2009, has already carved a niche for himself as a couture & bridal wear designer, and up North, in this short span, has also garnered the addressing of being called ‘the King of Jamavar’. 
 
Using the bygone Victorian era as muse for majestic cuts, and drawing inspiration from the rich architectural heritage and traditional thread work of North India, Mayyur R Girotra creations are an irresistible, breathtaking blend of royalty, tradition and craft with vibrant colours, flamboyant silhouettes and grand embroideries.
 
The inaugural collection for the Mumbai store highlights the use of Zardosi, Resham, Jamavar, Chickenkari embroideries in contemporary cuts, making each creation an heirloom in the true sense of word.
 
Mayyur Girotra also has stores in Defence Colony and MG Road in New Delhi and Jumeirah Beach Road in Dubai.
