Rosa Clara opens Barcelona Bridal Week

Spain’s bridalwear queen Rosa Clara opened the 24th edition of Spanish wedding fashion extravaganza Barcelona Bridal Week with her Hollywood and New York City inspired collection.

Using the evergreen American divas like Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and the ‘Sex and the City’ stars as muses, the designer created the 2015 range with chiffon, lace, tulle and organza. Decorated with pearls and rhinestones, the line featured short and long dresses, with and without volume, as well as frothy prom numbers.

Merche Segarra, the designer behind the popular wedding fashion label Jesus Peiro, opened the second day of the Barcelonan event. Replete with volumes, pleats, and empire and mermaid cuts, the white, silver and amber coloured dresses were made from comfortable lightweight fabrics such as Chantilly lace, tulle and silk.

Inspired by the women of the 30s and 40s, the Seville-based design label Victorio and Lucchino presented its collection Love Love. Incorporated with tight fit mermaid style cuts, the silk and crepe made dresses featured ruffles and interestingly detailed backs.

Yolanda and Cristina Perez, the young designer duo of YolanCris label, took inspiration from the French romanticism for their latest creations, punched with bohemian and tribal vibes. Made using lace and tulle, the short and long, bold neckline outfits were decorated with feathers and fringes.

Designer Inmaculada García opted to showcase a line, which included empire cut dresses and high waist voluminous as well as bias cut skirts, crafted from crinoline, tulle and chiffon materials, whereas designers Mark and Maria from M & M brand chose to showcase a vintage style collection with low and high volumes, along with 1940-esque prom dresses.
