The ninth edition of the just concluded Bolivian fashion event ‘Bolivia Moda 2014’ showcased more than 60 exquisite autumn-winter ready-to-wear as well as couture collections from nearly 28 local designers.

Designer Ericka Weise chose to feature a line of elegant evening dresses in varied colours, light textures and delicate details whereas Marcelo Rojas preferred to display the Sky collection, replete with intricately embroidered dresses and short, flowing skirts.

Fashion label Papingo Maminga opted to base its formal and informal wear ensembles, paired with gold and silver studded headgear, in tones of pink and black, and another women’s designer Veronica Zapata took inspiration from fairy tales for her Cinderella-style ribbon and delicate embroidery adorned sheer fabric made pieces.

García Gustavo Trujillo, the fashion week debutant, highlighted an animal print and beading heavy collection crafted from fabrics like chiffon and satin and the New York-based talent Rosita Hurtado presented a Mexican people and monuments-inspired catwalk line called Viva Mexico, which included brightly coloured flower and ruffles decorated Mexican costumes.

Organized by the Pablo Manzoni Modeling Agency, the four-day event also featured a special presentation from eight Argentinean designers who participated in the fashion do under the aegis of the Argentine Consulate in Santa Cruz.
