May '14
Starting the day before and continuing for the duration of the Paris ready-to-wear and accessories fashion trade shows at Porte de Versailles, Fatex is a vital tool for exploring new turnkey collections, viewing a wide range of manufacturing solutions and sourcing new suppliers. It is a unique opportunity to find out more about the major players in global, high-capacity sub/co-contracting, and full package manufacturing who are keenly attuned to the needs of Western buyers.

For this July edition, Fatex will be handpicking new firms to be endorsed by a selection committee against strict criteria for an even more eclectic and carefully thought-out sourcing offer.

Again there will be a large contingency from China, representing the majority of the clothing and accessories offer in all categories. Five firms from the Hong-Kong region complete the Chinese sourcing offer, each of them familiar with western buyers’ demanding quality standards.

India is increasingly popular with Fatex visitors, particularly for its cotton fabrics and embroidery expertise. Bangladesh – a major industry player that needs no introduction – will be exhibiting with ten fully integrated organisations with solid track records.

Newcomer Vietnam will be offering alternative apparel solutions from companies managed by local operators aware of their distinctive offer. Finally, Egypt hopes to win back clients with one large, leading firm coming to test the waters in the European market.

Fatex, offers an extensive portfolio of solutions for international manufacturing, supply chains, enabling exhibitors to meet European fashion brands and providing visitors with a complete overview of the market: products, technology, finishing and services, as well as an update on developments in quality and style.

Fatex continues to be Europe’s leading event – a hub where experienced manufacturers seeking to establish business connections in Europe can meet European buyers constantly on the lookout for new design, development and production solutions for their apparel and accessories collections.

Fatex, buyers can hunt, browse and examine potential fashion sourcing solutions in complete peace while soaking up the infectious energy of the Paris ready-to-wear trade shows. On the day before the shows, fashion brands can visit Hall 2.1 to source new partners to help them createa their new collections.

Knitted and woven fabrics, leather, workwear, household textiles and accessories are the main sectors offered by the 100 or so firms exhibiting at Fatex 2014. For the first time ever, Fatex will be hosting a large European symposium that will provide an in-depth analysis of the optimal conditions for feel-good sourcing: Closer to Sourcing, 3 July from 2pm. Industry experts including Pierre Cardin Jeanswear, G-Star, Kurt Salmon, Tom Tailor, Modint, Hugo Boss and juststyle.com will be sharing the secrets of their success and offering invaluable advice.
