UK designer Saunders crafts beachwear line for Thomson

The British designer Jonathan Saunders unveils a limited edition range of beachwear and beachbags created as part of a collaboration with Thomson. The products have been designed and released as part of the celebrations marking the opening of the exclusive 5 star Thomson Sensatori Resort Jamaica, which opened on 1 May.

Guests checking into the new 5 star resort will be able to perfect their poolside style with the fashionable beach accessories which they will receive as a gift from Thomson for a limited time. What’s more, guests will also have access to the fashionable Amber pool and beach area, which has been accessorized and named exclusively by Saunders in his hotel design first.

Famous for his use of daring prints and bold colours, Jonathan Saunders has dressed royalty and A-list stars including the Duchess of Cambridge, Victoria Beckham, Sarah Jessica-Parker and Beyoncé. These chic new beachwear designs for Thomson boast his signature style of graphic prints and striking colours, in line with the vibrant surroundings in Jamaica.

The stunning sarong is available in four carefully selected colour palettes, which includes a mixture of bold blues, bright oranges and calming neutral tones, inspired by the breathtaking Jamaican scenery. The sarongs, on-trend in block colour design, are ideal for adding a touch of glamour to holidaymaker’s summer style.

The beach bag for women, complete with eye catching print design, is also available in four striking colour combinations, using a similar colour palette to that of the sarongs. The bags are inspired by Jonathan’s famous graphic print dress as worn by the Duchess of Cambridge on the Jubilee Tour. The collection also offers men a touch of holiday style with a grey, blue and white casual bag complete with both long strap and short handles and finished in a soft canvas material.

Saunders’ bespoke pool area encourages relaxation through the use of vibrant colours, combined with subtle tones and soft fabrics. The turquoise, yellows and blue featured on the Bali beds, cushions and loungers make the Amber area a highlight of the luxurious hotel whilst remaining true to its idyllic surroundings.

Jonathan Saunders comments, “The backdrop to the new Sensatori Resort Jamaica was the starting point and the inspiration for designing the beachwear and the Amber pool area in the hotel - sun, sea, sand, colours and relaxation. I started by choosing the colour palette to run through the Thomson designs, combining bold Jamaican brights with relaxing earthy tones and the idea of a repeated graphic taken from a dress worn by the Duchess of Cambridge worked perfectly for the beach bags.
